Advanced Burn Life Support Provider Course

The Advanced Burn Life Support® (ABLS) program is the American Burn Association’s trusted course for emergency burn care training.

Focused on the first 24 hours post-injury, ABLS prepares clinicians to confidently assess, stabilize, and coordinate care for burn patients — whether in the field, the emergency department, or before transfer. These are instructor-led courses (in-person); great for teams and hands-on practice.

Overview:

The Advanced Burn Life Support course is designed to equip medical professionals to assess and stabilize burn-injured patients during the first critical hours post-injury. ABLS programs also support emergency preparedness and disaster management needs. Live, didactic lectures and hands-on simulation experiences are offered to reinforce learning. There will be opportunities to work with a simulated burn patient to reinforce assessment, stabilization, and transfer to an ABA burn center. Following a final written and practical assessment, a certificate of completion is provided (good for 4 years).
