President Elect Candidate

Annette Chard RN, CEN

Professional Biography

I began my nursing career in the ED as a graduate nurse at Parkview Hospital, where I spent the next 22 years. During that time, I also worked at a couple smaller EDs for the transfer out experience (Noble and Angola) and worked for a fixed wing critical care air transport service. I was a member of the Northeast Indiana National Disaster team for many years, responding post disasters, MCIs, etc. I then became the Trauma Program Manager at Lutheran Hospital for 9 1/2 years. During this time I was active with the Society of Trauma Nurses and the Indiana Trauma Network. Following this I became the Network ED educator for Lutheran Health Network and have been an educator for the last five years. I am TNCC and ENPC faculty and am a member of several professional organizations (ENA, STN, PTS, and ABA).

ENA Involvement

I have been an ENA member for 35 years and am one of the founding members of chapter 365. I am an active member both locally and at the state level and am currently serving as the pediatric chair. I have served as our local chapter president several times. I served as the state council president back in 2006 and was the state treasurer in 2007 and 2008. I was the injury prevention chair in 2009 and 2010 and pediatric chair in 2013/2014. After a hiatus during my time as the trauma program manager (where my time was consumed), I have been more active again in the last few years and would love to serve as the state president.

Why are you interested in serving?

I would be honored to serve as the state president and feel my experience both in my professional and ENA involvement would be an asset. I believe in the ENA and the strength that being a member provides to our specialty, and am excited about the future of our state council. I look forward to this opportunity.

Treasurer Elect Candidate

Ryan Williams, MBA, MSN, RN, CEN, CFRN, EMT-P

professional biography

I currently serve as the Director of EMS, Forensics, and Trauma Services at Reid Health in Richmond. In my current role, I am responsible for multiple budgets, which has provided me with a strong foundation to serve as treasurer for Indiana ENA.

ena INVOLVEMENT

Current Treasurer, 2018 State Council President, Multi-year Delegate, State Trauma Chair, State Education Chair, State Volunteer Chair, EMS/ENA Symposium Planning Committee

Why are you interested in serving?

I truly want to work and learn from Cassie, our current treasurer, who has done an outstanding job in the role. I want to be able to act as a backup for her. I believe learning the various roles of the association is essential, and the best way to contribute is by serving in multiple roles.
