President Elect
Amy Krupa
Amy has been a nurse for 23 years. I started out as a new grad in the PICU. In August 2004, I moved to the ED and very quickly found my people. I joined the ENA that month, and have been a member ever since. I got my CEN in 2007, and subsequently my CPEN and TCRN (and SANE-A and SANE-P). I am an instructor and course director for ENPC and TNCC. In IL, I served as a director for the state ENA chapter for three years, led the emergency response team SIG, and participated in the communication committee and forensic SIG for several years. I worked as a bedside nurse at a level 1 trauma center in the all age and pediatric EDs for 17 years. I also worked as the education liaison, pediatric emergency management coordinator, and covid response team leader. During that time, I finished by MSN in nursing education and my DNP as a pediatric clinical nurse specialist. I was the education and practice specialist for the ED and level 1 trauma center for a freestanding children’s hospital in Virginia for just over two years. I then moved to Indiana and have been the clinical nurse specialist (CNS) for the ED at Riley and the Pediatric EDs for IU North and Fishers for just under two years. I spent the last year as the chair of the pediatric committee for IN ENA chapter 134. I look forward to continuing to support the growth of our chapter and am excited to potentially take on a new leadership challenge.
