Taught by an experienced OB RN and NICU RN/Paramedic, this high‑impact 8‑hour course is designed for EMS providers and ER nurses who want to build confidence in managing obstetric and neonatal emergencies. The morning session delivers focused, practical instruction on the physiological changes of pregnancy and the rapid assessment and treatment of OB complications, including trauma. Learners will explore critical pregnancy‑specific resuscitation modifications, up to and including perimortem C‑section decision‑making. The course also covers newborn resuscitation and early neonatal management for those first critical minutes of life. In the afternoon, participants apply their skills through high‑fidelity, hands‑on simulation, reinforcing teamwork and real‑world readiness when two lives are on the line.  Completion provides 8 hours of continuing education for both nursing and EMS professionals.

Advance Burn Life Support (ABLS) programs help medical professionals develop expertise for immediate care of the burn patient during the first 24 hours post-injury, including emergency and mass casulaty preparedness focusing on triage, burn survivability, patient transportation, and patient treatment.

ABLS is tailored to nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians assistants, physicians, first responders, and other medical professionals who treat individuals with burn injuries.

When oxygen saturation drops and alarms start screaming, randomly adjusting ventilator settings or calling RT isn't a strategy. This pre-conference workshop gives nurses and EMS providers a working understanding of respiratory therapy concepts. We'll cover respiratory physiology, oxygenation and ventilation, blood gas interpretation, noninvasive positive pressure ventilation (NIPPV), mechanical ventilation, waveform interpretation, patient-ventilator interactions, troubleshooting, and evidence-based management strategies. Through whiteboard teaching, real-world case discussions, and practical application, you'll gain the confidence to better assess, communicate, and care for critically ill respiratory patients.

This preconference will bring MIH providers together as we explore implementation of the Indiana GROW / Rural Health Transformation as well as looking into what a statewide MIH data platform will look like and add to the MIH system.  Will include presentations as well participation opportunities such as a roundtable discussion.
